The DuChat Gallery
Several patrons have arrived early for an Artist's Reception at the DuChat Gallery.
The series of paintings, Furlandia, grew out of the artists getting to know the animals that have been in their Animal Rescue Center. As personalities became more distinct, the artists applied their imagination and created scenes that involved specific animals at the Center.
Watching the animals form social relationships made it easy for the artists to project what might be possible.
There are some animals that appear more often than others - Nugoro the donkey and Frida the dog are two. Just like people, some animals have more personality than others. The series is collaborative with Phil and Ana both working on the paintings together.
